We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Business Risk and Control Manager Marketing In this role, you will We are currently seeking experienced professionals to take on the role of Business Risk & Control within the ASP RBWM Marketing team. The selected candidates will lead the execution of an effective operational risk and internal control management programme within the county marketing teams for both the Retail Banking & Wealth Management and Commercial Banking global businesses with specific oversight for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam markets Manage risk and control management of specific operational risk categories, including Compliance, Business Continuity and Information Security, in order to minimise financial loss Support the implementation of an operational risk and internal control framework to satisfy the needs of the business, regulators and Group/regional functions Analyse and provide each country's management information to the Global Marketing Centre Lead Business Risk and Control Manager Act as “Business Owner” of the Key Dimension Combination (“KDC”) in the ORION system for the area of responsibility, maintaining ORION as the operational risk system of record Direct risk and control assessment and undertake internal control monitoring Monitor, analyse and escalate significant, current and emerging operational risks and internal control issues to the Global Marketing Lead Business Risk and Control Manager Manage the identification of compliance risks and associated controls, as well as the reporting of control testing results, identification of trends and escalation of issues Oversee, along with Contract Owners, the risk and control management of third party vendors and sub-contracting arrangements Manage, along with Business Information Risk Officer, information security risk through the implementation of primary and secondary controls to mitigate risk, identifying information assets and associated risks, and ensuring information security awareness of employees within Marketing country teams Oversee the assessment and mitigation of privacy risk Manage potential and real situations that may cause disruption to operations and invocation of business continuity plans Promote operational risk awareness, including training for business/function personnel To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline Substantial experience in banking, risk management and/or internal audit, with professional designation in risk or compliance preferred Knowledge of regulations impacting wider personal and/or commercial financial services activities Capacity to deliver sustainable high-quality results while considering the long- and short-term impact and risk of actions on the Bank’s operational risk profile and appetite Ability to communicate openly with staff, management, internal partners and external parties while remaining open to new and better ways to manage operational risk Commitment to upholding compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures, and engaging others to act responsibly and minimise operational risk and internal control issues Sound holistic and technical understanding of pertinent business areas and Group requirements as detailed in the Group Standards Manual, Functional Instruction Manuals (FIM) and other local standards Capacity to analyse and assess complex operations and processes and identify related material risk exposures and key mitigating controls Sound judgement, keen sense of urgency, and a high level of professional and personal integrity For further details and application information please visit our career site, search under reference number '00003KHX You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
